Active ingredient

Zincum Gluconicum 2x

Purpose

Reduces duration and severity of the common cold

Zicam Uses

• reduces duration of the common cold
• reduces severity of cold symptoms:
  • sore throat
  • stuffy nose
  • sneezing
  • coughing
  • congestion

Warnings

For nasal use only

Ask a doctor before use if you have

• ear, nose or throat sensitivity
• susceptibility to nosebleeds

When using this product

• Avoid contact with eyes. In case of accidental contact with eyes, flush with water and immediately seek professional help.
• Temporary discomfort such as burning, stinging, sneezing, or increased nasal discharge may result. To help avoid possible irritation, do not sniff up gel.
• The use of individual swabs by more than one person may spread infection.

Stop use and ask a doctor if symptoms persist or are accompanied by fever.

Zicam® Cold Remedy was formulated to shorten the duration of the common cold and may not be effective for flu or allergies.

If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.

Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Directions

• For best results, use at the first sign of a cold and continue to use for an additional 48 hours after symptoms subside.
• Adults and children 3 years of age and older (with adult supervision):
  • Open tube (also see illustrations on side of carton & insert):
    • Hold tube between thumb and forefinger at the red band.
    • With the other hand hold at base of handle and snap open tube.
    • Pull out swab.
  • Apply medication just inside first nostril. Remove swab and press lightly on the outside of first nostril for about 5 seconds. Re-dip swab in tube. Apply medication to second nostril. Remove swab and press lightly on the outside of second nostril for about 5 seconds. Do not insert swab more than 1/4" past nasal opening.
  • Discard swab after use.
  • Wait at least 30 seconds before blowing nose.
  • Use one tube every 4 hours.
• Children under 3 years of age: Consult a doctor before use.
